089: i still hear birthday songs and children’s laughter

:: 300509 – HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY, LIL ONE! ::

:: 310509 – HAPPY 7TH BIRTHDAY, BIG ONE! ::

The eldest niece and the youngest niece share the same week of birthday, and this year, we’ve decided to hold a birthday party for the 1-year-old at our place, making this weekend the loudest and most fun two days.
I baked some cupcakes for the party on Saturday (couldn’t find the time to make rainbow cupcakes, so settled for two-toned frosting), and had fun watching the kids smearing themselves silly. Or rather, just that one niece, who happily sat herself in one corner and “MMMMM!”-ed away
The two birthday girls shared one thing in common; they are both very girly, particularly in terms of dressing. So, apart from the gifts, I decided to try my hand at making the 1 year-old niece a kanzashi felt hairclip, and the ‘Pink Princess’ a felt butterfly hairband.
Happy birthday, girls
Hope you had as much fun as we all did!
WAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

Hello you… Haha, yeah, but it doesnt come close to the kiddos’ celebrations! Twentysix is much too old
The cupcakes are so adorable! I wish my birthdays were… actually I wish they would be like that for years to come. lol. I dont’ want to grow up!
Thanks, sweetz! Haha, I wish I could get away with huge, fun, colourful birthday celebrations, as well. Afterall, age is simply a number
oooh… those cupcakes look delish… and so much fun… those are the best years for parties I swear… I can still remember my 5th birthday!!!
Did the girls go crazy over the Care Bears atop the cupcakes? I would!!
& you’ve got a faux brick wall, how cool is that.
Amelia: I think everyone’s entitled to fun, balloon-filled parties all their life! And wow, your 5th birthday must’ve been quite something, for you to remember
I can’t remember much of my birthdays when I was 5 and below, cept for the fact that there was once, my train set ‘choo-choo’-ed while I was still opening it
greenlaundry: I don’t know whether it was the Care Bears or the cupcakes, but they went right at ‘em! And haha, my parents are big on wallpaper with texture, so the ‘brick wall’ it was
those cupcakes!!!
Hehehe, glad you like em, tifanie!
