Sorry about the lack of update yesterday; I still played through ‘Roid Week, but didn’t manage to find the time to scan the polaroids, finding myself preoccupied with two of my nieces who came for a sleepover.
I’m a huge fan of portraiture, particularly child photography. I’m not much of a portrait photographer, preferring to capture inanimate objects (blame the introvert in me). As such, it always captivates me when I see lovely photos of children. They have an amazing innocence that simply shines through the lens.
The cheeky look they have in their eyes, that gaze of concentration when something catches their attention, that playful smile they don, forcing us to join in their antics;– children are the hardest, yet most deserving subjects of photography.

These are my Roid Week 09 Day 3 and Day 4 entries. The first of the 3-year-old elder sister who insists on having her photo taken with a potato chip dangling from her lips; the second of the 1plus-year-old who was much too engrossed in colouring the paper floor, and thereafter her thighs and fingers.
One doesn’t like to eat, and is extremely picky with her food and hygiene, but she loves to snack on potato chips and crackers. Another doesn’t like to bathe and will wail very loudly, but is always too quiet when she finds pretty much anything to put in her mouth (and that includes eating/drinking her sister’s share).
Along with two other lovely nieces, they each have their distinct lovable traits, and I sometimes wish all four of them wouldn’t grow too fast.
